I. History/General Information

-Questions to consider: How was the application developed? How does the application work? Are there any ways to use this application alongside others?

MyTodos is a free and simple online to-do list that is available and can be used by anyone.  There are many helpful options that are included on MyTodos.  These options include: a to-do list, a page that has a weekly layout, a global chat page, a feedback option, and even little pictures of activities so you do not have to type everything out.  The to-do lists on MyTodos can be shared with friends and contacts.  Once you become user of MyTodos you can subscribe to the site’s RSS feed.  This allows the user to receive their friends’ updates on their to-do lists as well.   These lists are also searchable---if you wanted to find a list relation to a certain task, you can search the name of that task and MyTodos will pull up all related content from anywhere in your lists.  If the user wanted to chat with someone on their list group, MyTodos offers a global chat feature that allows you to do just that.  Shared list chatting is in the works, but has not yet been released.  If the user wants the advice or help from fellow group members, MyTodos give you the option to invite group members or teachers to view your lists.  When using MyTodos groups can collaborate together after finding a time that works with all schedules that can be posted on MyTodos.   When other members have a change of schedule or a new action on their to-do list, their fellow groups members will be able to be notified by New Updates action.  MyTodos also offers an expanded calendar and the Habit Maker.  Habit Maker works as a reminder tool by inserting icons of your choice in the calendar.  As an action is completed you then click the appropriate icon and keep up with the list of activities, and therefore, visually see your progress.  You are also able to check off each item as you complete them and there is a percentage bar that allows you to see what percentage of your list is done.

II. How "MyTodos" Relates to other Applications

-Questions to consider: How does this application compare to the competitors? What are some unique uses of this specific application?

There are many differences between MyTodos and its competitors.  For instance, MyTodos offers the “drag and drop” function.  One of the competitors, offers dragging and arranging the list, but it requires that you edit and save.  In comparison, MyTodos is more efficient in that it offers the ability to organize lists in an easier and quicker manner.  Also, another significant advantage of MyTodos is that the website is FREE!

III. Real World Application

-This section will include 3 Lesson Plans for each Elementary, Secondary, and Post Secondary levels. One out of the three needs to be STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) related.

-An additional section under this heading will provide information about how this application can be used in a Business/Industry Setting.

IV. Demonstration of Educational Value

MyTodos can help students keep track of and organize their weekly activities and school assignments.  Since the site is so easy to use the students can perform a daily check of the things that are due for class.  MyTodos will reduce the amount of missed assignments.  The site allows students or anyone to manage their projects online.  The users are able to edit and remove projects, check and/or update the status of the project, and differentiate between projects by color coding them on their planner.  This makes organization so much easier.

V. How "MyTodos" is used Internationally?

My Todos can be useful no matter what country you live in.  It is beneficial to everybody and everyone.  MyTodos allows their users to connect with people all over the world with the chat feature that is provided.   MyTodos permits all users to provide feedback.  The site is open to new ideas from all users, as well as news about bugs, glitches and any other suggestions the users might have.  One limitation while using Mytodos is that it does not support all languages.   When someone tried using Korean, all the characters showed up as question marks.
