    • What is MySpace?....MySpace is web account that allows people to view pictures, chat, and view other people's profile account.
    • How do you use MySpace? (in general)...People use MySpace as an online networking system. The definition of networking is a supportive system of sharing information and services among individuals and groups having a common interest (dictionary.com)

There are two main steps in using MySpace:

    1. You join MySpace and create a profile.
    2. You invite your friends to join MySpace and search MySpace for your friends who are already members. These people become part of your initial "Friend Space."
    • What should educators be aware of in regards to safety issues on MySpace and what are the creators of MySpace doing to make it safe for users?...Educators need to be aware of the social dangers of using an online networking system. There are people out on MySpace that have intentions of harming people of all ages. This is a big problem today for MySpace, however the creators of MySpace have implemented an age requirement for the use of MySpace. Also if you are younger than 16 your profile cannot be viewed by anyone above the age of 18.
    • What is the intended audience for our research?...I believe we should be targeting high school students or college-aged students because they are more mature and more apt to using such online networking systems.
    • How are we proposing MySpace should be incorporated in an educational setting?...We should show how MySpace can be used to discuss ideas of class topics online. We can also discuss the idea of networking and communincating with students of a variety of cultures and nations. We can use MySpace as a sort of distance education source.
    • Are educators currently using MySpace and if so, how?...Yes, tutors and TA are using MySpace's blog type formats for answering question.
    • What other resources are out there?...The best sources for finding out about MySpace are online encyclopedia such as britannica and wikipedia (not the best source, but hey, what can you do)
