1. Purpose of Questionform

"To empower non-technical people with the ability to quickly and easily create, and conduct online surveys and forms. Questionform aims to be the "de facto" tool for creating informal surveys and polls over the internet." [1]

According to Forweb Software, the creator of Question Form,

“Questionform is a web application for creating, publishing and analyzing online surveys and forms.”

Question Form provides an easy online forum for companies or individuals to create surveys for use in almost any form imaginable. After creation of these surveys, members can publish their surveys by embedding or linking them together. Question Form automatically records statistics from the surveys for members and attaches them to their account at Questionform.com.

3. How Does Questionform Work?

">

Questionform is very easy and efficient to use. First, one must create a log in username and password. After logging in, the user can click on "new survey" and begin creating their survey. However, the amount of tools available depends on what package the user buys. Purchasing the "max" package includes all tools and an unlimited amount of surveys.

Creating a survey is very easy, all you need to do is double click or drag and drop options from the toolbox to the form. From there you can add text, options, or more questions. If you feel like your survey is getting long on one page you can create a new one to break it into smaller parts. There is also an option for a cover or closing page to the survey.

[5]

As you can see in the toolbox there is a map button. This is a cool feature that many surveys do not have. With this tool you can place a map within your survey and participants can mark a place on the map. The coordinates are then given to the host. This is useful in testing situations to see if students can find a certain location. Below is just one example of this.[5]

One of Questionform's best features is its custom colors. The user completely controls the color scheme. Every part of the survey can be customized to the exact color of your choice! Here is just one example of a color scheme; the colors were designed to match, but wherever you see a color it could be completely different. Not shown in the picture is that when you hover over a question it will be highlighted a different color.[5]

The most important feature of any survey is its data. Questionform does a great job of making this information readily available and easy to understand. For each question the creator can view all the responses in various forms. Below is an example of a multiple choice and rating question with the statistics.[5]

One can also view all responses specific to that user. Questionform makes this very easy to do with an easy to use chart. Not shown in the ability to view submission date, IP address, or email address.[5]

5. What Are Some Unique Things About Questionform?

Question Form is a SaaS (Software as a Service) type of service. Prices are based on the level and amount features, which members can choose based on their needs. Features can be unlocked by upgrades to a higher plan. André Gonçalves [1]

There are currently over 25,000 accounts on Questionform.com.
Questionform is used worldwide. The United States and Brazil provide the most users.
Question Form operates from only two servers (or datacenters) in Dallas, Texas and London, UK.[1]

Questionform has different options to choose from when creating an account. You can choose from four different packages, one of which is completely free in comparison to others that come with more features that vary in price. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel your account at any time you'd like and it comes with a 30-day money back guarentee. On questionform you can create your own surveys with their own personal URL. Questionform keeps track of how many people visit your survey and also performs automatic updates without prompts. Questionform will also eliminate any repeated res

ponses to the survey to avoid clutter. No data on your questionform survey will be deleted unless you delete it on your own, so you will always have access to this information.

7. Examples Of How Questionform Is Used

Questionform can be used by all types of users.  It can be used in the classroom, the business world or in your personal life.  An example of this is a survey that was created by someone who was interested in polling the public on the conduct of the popular toy manufacturer Hasbro.[3]  You can find a link to that survey right here: http://tfshorts.questionform.com/public/hasbro

An example of personal use is a survey posted to facebook created by someone interested in the public opinion on where the secondary office of a company called ALLGEN should be located.[4]  Here's a link to that survey: http://allgenreview.questionform.com/public/Best-location-for-new-ALLGEN-Review-branch

This is a small example of what Questionform can be used for. This example ask a few questions about how the person's sleep habits are and how well they are sleeping.

8. How Can Questionform Be Used In Other Countries?

Questionform can be used internationally just like mentioned in the previous descriptions.
The multiple divisions of (mainly European) languages may

also be to an advantage for use among clients who don’t have English as their primary language, something which otherwise might have become a disability.

Such a thing will probably not be necessary however, due to another advantage of the software, namely its simplicity. Even for someone not used to the English language, (or ordinary Internet use for that matter) will likely get used to the “drag and drop and repeat until done”-mechanism simplistic.

Not only does the (almost too pedagogical) display of Questionform encourage international use, but you as a survey-creator will also be capable of having your surveys in real-time, which means you will receive the answers as fast as the users finishes the surveys. Would you then see that some of the questions have been confusing or misleading, you will be capable of changing those questions.

Regardless of geographical location, Questionform might prove a useful tool to exchange surveys, bridge the gaps and facilitate transcending communication between different groups of people.
