Q. How does it work? What does one have to do to start using it?
Xanga is a community of online diaries and journals. It basically works like a blog, in the sense that users write about their lives, views, or whatever else they choose to put on there. You can make your profile public or private, which determines who will be able to see your site and who can't. You can also "subscribe" to other member's cites, which means that you can receive notifications or be granted easy access whenever a friend or whose ever site you subscribed to updates their xanga.
It is very easy to start an xanga. You basically sign up and follow the instructions on it site. Here's an ehow.com step by step process explaining how exactly to do that...they explain it better than I can. http://www.ehow.com/how_2031293_start-own-xanga.html\\
