Book Report on Blog Site


Students must post comments on site about a assigned book to each group. With this the Student will be split into groups of 4-5 student. The student after every chapter will read and post a comment on something they read and can comment on other students posts. At the end of the book they will rate how they felt about the learning experience.


Students to understand the assigned book to the group and to comment and observe on what they view and think about the book.


Make reasonable assertions about an author's arguments by using hypothetical situations or elements of the text to defend and clarify interpretations. [11.2.4/12.2.4]

Evaluate characteristics of subgenres, types of writings such as satire, parody, allegory, and pastoral that are used in poetry, prose, plays, novels, short stories, essays, and other basic genres. [11.3.1/12.3.1]

Evaluate the way in which the theme or meaning of a selection represents a view or comment on life, using textual evidence to support the claim. [11.3.2/12.3.2]

  • Instruction on the student of how to get on the wordpress site using WLW and how to post comments on the chapters on WLW

Students gain a positive experience of collaborating with other students on book project. Also to gain the knowledge and understanding of the key points and the literature.
